Magnetic Gear

Magnetic Gear: A magnetic gear resembles in part, the traditional mechanical gear. All cogs of each gear component of magnetic gears act as a magnet with periodic alternation of opposite magnetic poles on mating surfaces. Gear components are mounted with a "cushioned" backlash capability similar to other mechanical gearings with no cushioning effect. Although they can exert as much force as a traditional gear, such gears work without touching and so are immune to wear of mating surfaces, have very low noise and can slip without damage, making them very reliable. They can be used in configurations that are not possible for gears that must be physically touching and can operate with a barrier completely separating the driving force from the load. The magnetically coupled gear can transmit force into a hermetically sealed enclosure without using a radial shaft seal, which may leak. Hermetically sealed processes are not contaminated or chemically affected by the magnetic gear. This can be an advantage in explosive or otherwise hazardous environments where leaks constitute a real danger.
 
                            
 
Magnetic gear material: Magnet and yoke.
 
Magnetic gear principle: On the surface of the magnetic gear, there will be a plurality of "tooth" similar to the mechanical gear, that is the magnetic poles. The use of two isotropic magnetic pole repulsive forces to drive another gear to rotate. Since the magnetic gear has a plurality of magnetic poles in one round, continuous uninterrupted transmission of power can be achieved.
 
Classification of magnetic gears:
1. According to the transmission mode, it can be divided into: straight transmission, parallel transmission, right-angle cone transmission, coaxial end-face transmission, coaxial internal and external transmission.
2. According to the material manufacturing process can be divided into: bonding gear and sintered magnetic gear.
 
Magnetic gear advantages:
1.Non-contact transmission, no mechanical wear, so it has no dust, magnetic gear can be used in the dust-free factory, used to replace the ordinary mechanical gear.
2.Non-contact transmission, long service life.
3.Overload protection, magnetic gear is flexible transmission power, when the motor is overloaded, etc., it can slip through the two magnetic gear to protect other workpieces from damage.
4.The magnetic gear can transfer power through the partition, and it can also transfer power through the air, and can convert the dynamic seal into a static seal.
 
Magnetic gear application:
