Magnetic Coupling Outer Rotor for Chemical Pumps and Water Pumps — G2.5 Dynamic Balanced, Sealless Drive Component for Japan Market
Zero-leakage torque transfer for sealless chemical and water pumps
The FAIZEAL magnetic coupling outer rotor is a precision-engineered permanent-magnet drive component that forms the input side of a sealless magnetic coupling assembly. Designed for chemical process pumps, industrial water pumps, and corrosive fluid handling systems, this outer magnet assembly transfers torque to the inner rotor through a synchronous magnetic field — with no mechanical contact and no dynamic seal. The result is a leak-free fluid transfer path that meets the reliability, cleanliness, and regulatory standards expected by Japanese plant operators and OEM pump manufacturers.
The housing is precision-machined from low-carbon steel, encapsulated with high-grade sintered NdFeB or Samarium Cobalt magnets, and finished with a premium black anti-corrosion coating for long-term protection against moisture, chemical vapors, and industrial atmospheres. Every unit is dynamically balanced to ISO 1940 Grade G2.5 before shipment, making it ready for direct installation into high-speed pump systems where vibration, bearing life, and seal integrity are non-negotiable.
This outer rotor is built for export. Dimensional tolerances, surface finish, and inspection documentation are prepared to align with JIS-compatible engineering practice and the documentation expectations of Japanese OEM customers.
Why the outer rotor matters in a sealless pump
In a sealless magnetic drive pump, three components share the torque path: the outer rotor (driven by the motor), the containment shell (the static pressure boundary between motor and process fluid), and the inner rotor (mounted on the impeller shaft inside the fluid). The outer rotor is the only component that sits outside the process boundary, so its job is to deliver smooth, vibration-free torque into the magnetic field across the containment shell — without ever compromising the seal. A poorly balanced, inaccurately machined, or improperly coated outer rotor translates directly into bearing wear, containment shell fatigue, hot spots, and eventual leakage. Getting the outer rotor right is what makes a sealless pump actually sealless in service.
For Japanese chemical and water-pump applications, the outer rotor must additionally withstand long duty cycles, periodic thermal cycling, and the corrosion profile of a humid, sometimes coastal, plant environment. FAIZEAL builds the outer rotor with this in mind: G2.5 balance for vibration control, sintered NdFeB or SmCo magnets for thermal stability, and a black epoxy anti-corrosion coating that has been proven in field service on chemical and water-pump assemblies.
Key features and technical advantages
· G2.5 precision dynamic balance (ISO 1940). Every outer rotor is dynamically balanced to Grade G2.5 per ISO 1940 before shipment. This minimizes vibration at operating speed, extends bearing life, reduces mechanical wear on the motor-side coupling, and protects the containment shell from fatigue. For high-speed pump systems, G2.5 balance is the minimum that lets the pump run reliably for years.
· Premium black anti-corrosion coating. The outer surface is finished with a high-build black epoxy or polyurethane coating engineered for chemical plant environments — moisture, splash, mild chemical vapor, and outdoor exposure. The coating is applied over a properly prepared substrate to maintain adhesion through thermal cycling, and it gives the assembly a clean, OEM-quality appearance.
· High-torque synchronous magnetic transmission. Sintered NdFeB or Samarium Cobalt magnets are arranged in a multi-pole radial pattern inside the steel housing. The magnetic circuit transfers torque synchronously to the inner rotor across the containment shell — with zero physical contact and zero seal leakage. No mechanical wear, no seal replacement, no environmental release path.
· High-grade permanent magnet options. Standard build uses sintered NdFeB (N35–N52, with SH/UH/EH temperature grades available for elevated-temperature process fluids). For high-temperature or corrosive-edge applications, Samarium Cobalt (SmCo 1:5 or Sm2Co17) is available as an option. Magnet selection is matched to the operating temperature, fluid environment, and torque requirement of the pump.
· Precision-machined steel housing. The housing is machined from low-carbon steel or stainless steel (per specification) to tight dimensional tolerances on the bore, outer diameter, and mounting face. The magnet pockets are machined for accurate pole alignment, and the assembly is pressed and locked to prevent magnet shift under centrifugal load.
· Export-grade inspection and documentation. Every unit ships with dimensional inspection records, dynamic balance test report (G2.5 certification), and material traceability documentation. Inspection format and language are aligned with the documentation expectations of Japanese OEM customers.
· OEM drawing support and JIS-compatible engineering. The outer rotor can be built to a customer-supplied OEM drawing, or engineered in-house to the customer pump envelope, torque requirement, and bolt-pattern constraint. Tolerances, surface finish, and material selections are prepared in a JIS-compatible engineering style for direct integration into Japanese pump assemblies.
· Modular torque range. Outer rotor geometry is selected to deliver torque across a wide range — from small metering and dosing pumps to large industrial chemical pumps. The same platform supports prototype, small-batch, and volume production with consistent quality.

Built for the Japanese market
Japanese pump manufacturers and plant operators specify to tight tolerances, demand complete documentation, and expect consistent quality from sample through volume. FAIZEAL is structured to support that workflow:
· Drawing acceptance in JIS, ISO, or customer-native format. Submit a 2D drawing in JIS or ISO projection; the outer rotor will be quoted, prototyped, and produced against that drawing without redrawing on our side.
· Inspection data in the format your QA team expects. Dimensional reports, balance reports, and material certificates are issued per lot and can be aligned to the documentation template your incoming-inspection team uses.
· Engineering communication in English and Japanese-friendly format. Specification sheets, deviation lists, and engineering change notes are written in clear technical English; reference documents and standard citations follow JIS / ISO conventions.
· Stable repeat supply. Once a part is in production, geometry, materials, and inspection scope are frozen. Repeat orders ship against the same part number with the same inspection scope — no surprise drift.
